FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about our artworks, bespoke designs, installation, shipping and warranty.

01Do you have ready-made pieces, or are they made to order?

A selection of ready-made artworks is available in our showrooms. Availability varies between showrooms and does not include every collection. Most of our works can also be made to order according to the required design and specifications.

Please contact us to enquire about the pieces currently available in your nearest showroom.

02Are your artworks original or inspired by other works?

All our artworks are original designs developed by the Stones Luxury® team. We do not copy or imitate existing artworks.

We sometimes draw inspiration from heritage, art and architecture, transforming these influences into new designs with their own identity, without copying or imitating the original works.

03Can you create exclusive designs?

Yes. We offer exclusive artwork design services, developed specifically around the client’s requirements and the nature of the project to ensure each work is unique and suited to its space.

Design fees are determined separately, according to the design’s details, scale and complexity.

04What are the design stages for an exclusive artwork?

The design process begins with understanding the project, the client’s requirements and the budget allocated to the artwork. These guide the concept, material selection, size and level of detail.

An initial concept is then developed, covering the idea, materials, colours and types of stone and marble. Once approved, the final design is prepared within the agreed scope of work and may include dimensions, execution details and 3D visualisations.

Where supplied, 3D visualisations are for illustration and visual understanding. The approved drawings and execution details remain the primary reference for production.

05Can I change the dimensions of a piece?

Yes. The dimensions of many artworks can be adjusted to suit the project, while respecting the design’s balance, proportions and method of production.

Changing dimensions is treated as an exclusive design. The feasibility and requirements of any adjustment depend on the artwork and the requested size.

06How do you price your artworks?

Each artwork is priced according to its details and production requirements, including size, stone and other materials, level of detail, and manufacturing and finishing methods. Exclusive works and special specifications are priced according to their design and execution requirements.

07How long does it take to produce an artwork?

Manufacturing and carving usually take 14 to 28 days from approval of the final design and specifications. The process includes selecting and preparing materials, carving and shaping, cleaning and treatment, final inspection and packaging.

Production time may vary depending on the work’s size, design complexity, quantities and material availability.

08Are the artworks handmade or machine-made?

Our artworks rely primarily on hand craftsmanship and handheld tools and equipment. Machinery is used in certain production stages when needed, depending on the nature and requirements of the artwork.

Handwork and craftsmanship remain central to shaping the details and bringing out each piece’s unique character.

09Can the artworks be used outdoors?

Yes. Our artworks can be used outdoors, as natural stone is their main material. Each piece’s suitability for outdoor use depends on its design, materials and installation location.

If a piece includes materials intended for indoor environments, such as wood, leather or others, we explain this in advance to ensure the right piece is selected for its location and use.

10Does the weight of stone create a challenge?

Stone’s weight is considered from the design, production and fixing stages. The fixing method, load-bearing points and site requirements are determined according to the piece’s weight and the nature of the location.

Where special specifications are required, we can develop an exclusive design that addresses weight and installation requirements. We have previously produced works with special specifications for installation on yachts, taking weight and fixing requirements into account.

11How are the artworks fixed and installed on site?

A dedicated fixing and installation plan is prepared for each artwork, explaining the fixing method and on-site execution requirements according to the work’s design and nature.

Our team can also provide technical support and guidance to help ensure correct installation.

12Does installation require special experience or skills?

Our artworks are designed to make installation as clear and straightforward as possible. Some pieces can be installed using commonly available tools and may be suitable for installation by the owner.

Installation requirements depend on the piece’s nature, size, weight, location and fixing method. Some works, such as illuminated pieces, may require electrical wiring or connections to be prepared on site in advance.

For large or heavy works, or those with special technical requirements, using a qualified technician or specialist team may be recommended.

13How long does installation take?

With around 25 years of experience in designing, producing and installing artworks, we consider installation from the design stage and develop fixing solutions that make the process as quick, efficient and straightforward as possible.

Installation time varies according to the artwork’s size, details, weight, location and installation method.

14Do you offer installation services?

Yes. We offer artwork installation within the geographical coverage of our branches, depending on the work and its installation requirements. Installation fees are determined separately according to the work’s requirements and installation location.

15Do you offer shipping and delivery?

Yes. We offer local and international shipping and delivery. Shipping to countries where we are present is handled through our branches, while shipping to other countries is coordinated with specialist third-party shipping companies.

Depending on the agreement and the nature of the shipment, collection from one of our branches or the workshop may also be arranged.

16Do you offer a warranty on your artworks?

Yes. Stones Luxury® provides a 10-year warranty on the stone body against manufacturing defects, provided that installation, use and maintenance follow the company’s instructions and approved technical specifications.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from incorrect installation, improper use, unauthorised modifications, neglect or environmental conditions beyond the approved technical rating. Natural variations in stone colour, texture and veining, and minor differences resulting from handcrafting, are not considered manufacturing defects.

The warranty terms and conditions in the artwork’s technical and contractual documents apply.
